THE MUSEUM OF SCIENCE IS ON THE HUNT FOR AN ARCHITECT TO CREATE A NEW SPACE ON THE FOURTH AND FIFTH FLOOR OF THE KENSINGTON BUILDING WHICH IS INTENDED FOR EVENTS
The contract notices states ‘the facility should evoke the spirit of the museum and capitalise on the spectacular views across the London skyline.’
‘The new space will [also] allow the Museum to attract day time events clients and therefore generate income without competing with the museum’s cultural programme.’
Currently the space is used for Medicine galleries which is moving to the first floor of the building.
Five teams will be shortlisted for the £300,000 contract with the winner being announced in July and will develop the scheme from RIBA stage 2 to 7
Deadline for entry is April 21st at 12noon
